I really enjoyed this assignment. Color offers an entire set of feelings and ideas that can be expressed without even having to tamper with composition or lighting. It adds so many words to your vocabulary as a photographer! Just seeing the start difference between my three photos (two made of very warm colors and one with clashing cool blues and vibrant orange) helped me see how color really does enable you to communicate so many different feelings (especially in how those colors interact with the background colors).

This assignment was helpful in learning under what circumstances I can trust my camera and when I can know that other modifications are necessary. It took a while to use the bracketing method but it was worth it. I found the white on white assignment to be particularly difficult. It was so sensitive to the smallest change in any of the settings. However, in trying to apply the different tricks of managing the color, the pictures come up so much better.
